US and Israel Prepare for Intense Post-Midterm Operations Against Iran as Pentagon Costs Top $47 Billion
The US has reportedly warned Gulf allies to prepare for a swift, intense military campaign against Iran following the November midterm elections.

Strategic Posture Shift in the Middle East
The United States and Israel are actively preparing to launch a renewed wave of heavy combat operations targeting Iran immediately following the upcoming midterm elections on November 3. According to defense officials and diplomatic briefings, Washington has issued alerts to several Gulf Arab nations, urging them to brace for a short yet intense military campaign.
As part of these ongoing preparations, the US military is redeploying assets across the region. A Patriot air and missile defense system—comprising advanced radar sets, engagement control stations, and missile launchers—is being brought in from Texas to bolster defensive capabilities. Additionally, American military personnel have been relocated away from vulnerable outposts in anticipation of regional escalation.
Buildup of Naval and Air Assets
Military logistics point to a substantial escalation in offensive readiness. Forces have aggressively restocked munitions, while fighter jets and long-range bomber aircraft complete pre-strike preparations. Reports indicate that an additional aircraft carrier strike group and a Marine Expeditionary Unit are slated to join a formidable fleet of approximately 20 warships currently operating in Middle Eastern waters.
This operational surge coincides with soaring expenditures. Pentagon data reveals that total spending on the Iran conflict has surpassed $47 billion, marking a staggering 25 percent increase over the Defense Department's July projections. Operational costs constitute the majority of this figure, with over $29 billion dedicated to replacing expended munitions, $6 billion allocated for equipment and platform losses, and $11.9 billion covering incremental service support costs.
Diplomatic Pressures and Direct Warnings
The military maneuvers run parallel to aggressive diplomatic signaling from Washington. US officials have openly discussed the viability of preemptive strikes should diplomatic channels fail to yield a comprehensive framework.
President Donald Trump recently cautioned Tehran against further brinkmanship, referencing the possibility of initiating a targeted campaign dubbed 'Operation Epic Fury' if negotiations stall. While administration officials maintain that channels for a diplomatic resolution remain open, the simultaneous deployment of missile batteries and carrier groups underscores a dual-track strategy combining severe military deterrence with direct political pressure.
