Expanding Horizons for Future Media Leaders

A comprehensive international scholarship and internship program has been launched to nurture the next generation of media and communications professionals from India. The decade-long initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world global media exposure.

Running over the next ten years, the program will select ten promising participants annually, culminating in a total of 100 beneficiaries. Designed to align with national visions for youth upskilling, the project brings together prominent broadcasting and global mobility organizations to provide scholars with hands-on experience in diverse international markets.

Global Exposure and Practical Training

Unlike traditional academic fellowships, this program emphasizes practical immersion. Selected scholars will spend time working alongside professionals from varied nationalities, gaining critical insights into different cultures, operational environments, and geopolitical contexts.

Participating scholars are expected to experience dynamic media landscapes across multiple regions, including Central Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Southeast Asia, with potential expansion into African markets. Final placement decisions will be tailored to the candidates' specific career aspirations and areas of developmental impact.

Selection and Ambassadorial RoleBeyond acquiring practical expertise in media, marketing, and communications, participants are envisioned to act as cultural and professional ambassadors. Upon completion of the program, scholars are expected to return to India equipped with a deeper understanding of international trade, tourism, and media ecosystems, ready to share their insights with the domestic industry.

A rigorous three-way selection committee comprising representatives from the founding organizations and independent external members will oversee the candidate selection process. Outreach efforts will target leading media and communication institutions across the country to ensure broad access for deserving talent.
