Hyderabad Tragedy Unfolds

A 55-year-old administrative employee working with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has died following a violent physical altercation with a neighbour in Hyderabad’s Chikkadapally area. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday evening, has prompted local law enforcement to register dual criminal cases.

According to preliminary investigations shared by the local police department, the altercation began between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM. The victim, who resided on the first floor of a residential apartment building, allegedly went up to the second floor and engaged in inappropriate behaviour toward a 23-year-old female resident.

Escalation and Physical Altercation

Following the incident, the young woman raised an alarm, prompting the victim to flee the immediate scene. Shortly thereafter, a neighbour who works locally as a gym trainer visited the woman's residence to investigate her distress. Upon learning about the alleged harassment, the gym trainer and the woman confronted the 55-year-old man.

An intense verbal argument quickly escalated into physical violence. Investigators stated that the gym trainer delivered a single punch to the victim's face, causing him to lose his balance and fall heavily onto the floor.

Medical Emergency and Police Action

Emergency services were notified, and the victim—who sustained critical head injuries from the fall—was rushed to a nearby medical facility. Attending physicians declared him brought dead upon arrival.

The Chikkadapally Police Station has initiated a rigorous dual investigation into the sequence of events:

* Culpable Homicide Case: Filed against the gym trainer based on a formal complaint lodged by the deceased man's wife. * Counter Case: Filed against the deceased DRDO employee based on the formal complaint of harassment lodged by the 23-year-old female resident.

Authorities confirmed that forensic teams have gathered evidence from the scene and witness statements are currently being recorded as the investigation proceeds.
