Yemen's Houthis Claim Multi-Pronged Drone and Missile Attacks on Key Saudi Infrastructure
Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi movement claims responsibility for a series of coordinated strikes targeting Saudi airports, oil facilities, and pipelines.

Escalation in Regional Tensions
YEMEN — Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi movement announced on Saturday that it had executed a coordinated series of drone and missile strikes targeting critical infrastructure across Saudi Arabia over the preceding 24 hours. The sweeping claims include multiple major airports, vital crude oil facilities, a key pipeline, and a military air base.
According to military spokesman Yahya Saree, the coordinated operation targeted the King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital of Riyadh in two distinct phases. Additionally, the group claimed strikes on regional aviation hubs in Dammam in the country's eastern province and Najran near the southern border.
Infrastructure and Military Targets
The offensive further extended to military and energy assets. The Houthis stated they targeted the Khamis Mushait air base in southern Saudi Arabia, along with vital energy installations including crude oil pumping stations and the strategic east-west crude oil pipeline.
The latest announcements highlight a persistent cross-border threat to energy corridors and civilian aviation hubs in the region, raising fresh concerns regarding regional stability and the safety of international shipping and transport networks.
Official Response Awaited
As of press time, Saudi authorities have not issued a comprehensive official statement regarding the full scope of the reported attacks or the extent of any potential damage or casualties resulting from the intercepted projectiles. Security analysts continue to monitor the situation closely amid heightened regional tensions.
