Washington Backing Amid Regional Tensions

US President Donald Trump has renewed his formal endorsement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of the nation's upcoming general elections. Citing the ongoing strategic conflict with Iran as proof of a successful alliance, Trump took to his social media platform to urge Israeli voters to keep Netanyahu in power.

Describing the 77-year-old Israeli leader as an "outstanding Warrior Prime Minister," Trump emphasized that Netanyahu is essential to completing the military objectives both leaders initiated together.

"To the people of Israel... please remember that Bibi has been an outstanding warrior prime minister," Trump wrote, using Netanyahu's widely known nickname. "Vote for Bibi Netanyahu for Prime Minister, we have to finish the job that we started."

Highlighting Joint Military Campaigns

In his endorsement, the US President detailed several joint military operations executed against Iran, claiming the campaigns have severely compromised Tehran's military capabilities and economic infrastructure.

Trump pointed to operations such as "Operation Midnight Hammer," aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities, followed by "Operation Epic Fury." According to the US leader, these coordinated efforts have left Iran's navy and air force severely degraded, alongside a crippled domestic economy and escalating inflation rates.

"Bibi and I have had a great relationship in winning together," Trump stated, adding that maritime blockades have successfully restricted Iranian oil exports and disrupted military leadership structures.

Complex Diplomatic Undercurrents

Trump’s vocal support comes amid a backdrop of diplomatic friction between Washington and Jerusalem regarding ultimate strategic objectives in the Middle East. Over recent months, international reports have indicated occasional frustrations within Washington over the pacing and outcomes of the military campaigns.

Despite strains—including recent public critiques from high-ranking US officials regarding foreign policy alignment—Trump has chosen to double down on his alliance with Israel's longest-serving prime minister, solidifying a partnership that has heavily defined regional geopolitics over multiple administrations.
