NTA Launches Dedicated 24/7 Helplines as Major Entrance Exam Registrations Accelerate
The National Testing Agency has introduced round-the-clock helpline numbers and issued security warnings as major national entrance exam windows progress.

Official Support Infrastructure Expanded
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has rolled out dedicated helpline infrastructure to assist students navigating high-stakes national entrance examinations, including the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), and the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET).
Under the newly established system, the testing body has deployed a toll-free number—1800-180-474—operating around the clock, seven days a week. Additionally, a secondary help desk operating from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM has been activated to manage heightened query volumes.
Security Advisory Issued Against Fraudulent Calls
Alongside the rollout of support channels, the agency issued a stern warning cautioning candidates against fraudulent schemes designed to cause financial harm. Authorities clarified that official representatives will never request sensitive personal credentials, including account passwords or one-time verification passwords (OTPs). Students have been urged to rely strictly on verified official portals for schedules, public notices, admit cards, and results.
JEE Main and UGC-NET Registration Updates
Registration timelines for key national examinations are currently active across multiple portals:
* JEE Main 2027 (Session 1): The application window opened on October 24 and will accept submissions through November 22. Examinations are slated to run across multiple dates in January. Candidates can submit their documentation through the designated official portal. * UGC-NET December Examination: Registration metrics released by the agency indicate that over 5.5 million candidates have initiated applications, with varying stages of completion reported regarding fee submissions, photograph uploads, and digital signatures. Officials have strongly advised applicants to complete pending steps well in advance to avoid last-minute technical congestion.
